We were lucky enough to have RJ as our wedding DJ and event MC. The entire process; from the initial contact to our special day, was made especially smooth by RJ and his diligent strive for exceptional customer service. Working with RJ made my wife and I feel very comfortable when planning out the ceremony and reception. He developed a timeline and worked with our other vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. During the reception he made sure to periodically check in with us, making sure that we were aware of the upcoming events and always asking if he needed to do anything different. There was a small technical difficulty with our slideshow during the dinner service, and RJ did not rest until he found the problem and corrected it. This was a party to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. RJ as our DJ was perfect in every way! I cannot say enough great things about his work. He was wonderful all the way through the party: from the music as our guests were arriving, throughout the dinner, and the dancing after. Before the party, we gave RJ just a very short list of our song choices, so he was forced to chose the majority of the music. Based on comments from our guests, they too loved his choices, some romantic, some pretty nostalgic for us (and our guests too), interspersed with some lively tunes when he thought we needed a 'pick me up'!
During the coordination with RJ, we shared our concerns about the volume of the music - - we've been to too many functions that you had to shout to be heard over the 'music' and after a very short time were exhausted by the noise level and left early! He completely understood and the volume level at our party was ideal at all times! The feedback from numerous guests echoed their pleasure in the volume levels!
It was such a pleasure working with RJ and would not hesitate to recommend him for any occasion, and, in fact, will certainly have him for our 75th Anniversary party! Thank you. RJ!

Music4Life was the best decision we could've made for our wedding, the attention to detail and organization that comes with Music4Life is definitely worth every penny. R.J. was so great throughout the wedding and even in the months leading up to the wedding, he would call just to check in and see if I needed anything. The music played at our wedding was extremely important to us and the website R.J. gave us access to in order to plan the music selection made it very easy; it mapped out a timeline for the entire wedding online so I could share it with my parents, check it anywhere and make adjustments as needed.
This was the kicker though, we wrote our own vows and on the last dance, R.J. played our vows over the music track and I swear there wasn't a dry eye in the room. My new husband and I, as well as my family just couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out and we would definitely recommend Music4Life for anyone planning a wedding or event where you need a high quality, highly professional DJ!

Just wanted you to know how pleased we were with John, and how kind and professional he was. I was thinking on Sunday how difficult at times it must be to go to an event where everyone is drinking (and at times are making fools of themselves), yet you have to stay in control. No one ever wants the music to stop as that is the life of the party.

My husband was in charge of finding a DJ for our wedding since music very important to him, and he decided on Music 4 Life. Jabari was assigned to us and he was very nice from the beginning, and open to answering all of our questions. They provided the sound equipment needed for our patio ceremony and the foyer music playing during cocktail reception as well as DJ tunes during dinner and the dancing portion of the evening. Jabari was great and everyone seemed to enjoy him. At first I thought they seemed a bit pricey for what was provided when compared to other DJ's in town, but Jabari has extensive radio and DJ experience which is what we were counting on for the night. All the sound equipment was set up correctly, on time and sounded great. Jabari kept the party moving all night and sounded great on the mic. He followed the timeline given and was flexible when we needed to change something. My other vendors said he was easy to work with as well. A true professional.

Muisc4Life set up was high tech and took up little
space. More room for the family reunion moves on the dance floor!
Both DJ's kept the crowd hyped and on the dance floor and were professional
and courteous. Diversified sound and ability to take requests and
play them on the fly is second to none. High quality sound and I
would recommend them to any and all party planners in the Austin
area. Keep on doing BIG THANGS Music4Life super crew!
The DJ did a great job interacting with people at
the tables. Some people requested some songs but the DJ said no
because that was on the "do not play" list. He noticed
what types of songs the crowd liked so he played more of those songs.
I would recommend him for future weddings and other special events.

RJ was good, we had picked some different songs for the end of
the night but people were dancing more to other music, so he checked
with us a couple of times about the songs and as long as people
were having a good time, we were happy with the music selection--it

(6 years old) at first didn't want to do the father-daughter dance,

Planning a wedding on your own and long distance is quite a task.
But when it came to our music, we had no concerns. We had a very
casual setting, no timelines, no schedules, we wanted the afternoon

Shannon and I had our reception at the Doubletree Hotel in Austin,
Texas on May 12th. We had a destination wedding in Negril, Jamaica
two weeks prior. This was the first time that either of us have
been married (and hopefully the last). Looking back on the whole
ordeal (yes I said ordeal) you realize that it's quite a different
perspective then when you're a guest at a wedding. What appears
to be a perfect reception to your guests is instead a frantic sequence
of events in which you try to accomodate everyone, while at the
same time performing the typical nuances that everyone expects to
see, and getting a bite to eat or a cocktail somewhere in between.
I felt like a chicken running around with my head cut off. The one
thing that kept it all afloat was RJ. I can't imagine what it would
have been like without him.
We had a couple of meetings with RJ before the reception in which
we planned the music and schedule for the reception. This included
all aspects of the reception: announcing the wedding party; when
dinner would be served; first dances; cutting of the cake; toasts;
as well as karaoke; The software used by RJ and music4lifedjs makes
planning the event very easy. They even have a web interface that
allows your guests to put in song requests. The one thing you have
to remember about RJ is that looks can be deceiving. When I first
met RJ, he looked young to me, which implied inexperience. That
was far from the truth. This guy knows his stuff- great music selection,
excellent equipment, and extremely personable. He is very patient,
especially when dealing with mother-in-laws who have to have things
done a certain way. I would definitely reccommend RJ and music4lifedjs
for receptions or any kind of celebration- just make sure you have
a big enough dance floor, because he can rock the house!
